I'm excited to inform you that we have reached an agreement with Phoenix Sports and Social Club to host our after match teas and other club events. From Saturday 9th November we will be using Phoenix in-place of the University Sports Park.

The venue is ideally placed only 0.7 mile from the pitch. It is multi-use sports venue that has a golf course, cricket pitch, on-site gym and is host to the Rotherham Schools Select Football Association.

Whilst there is a commercial benefit to us moving venues, meaning we don't need to increase fees this season, we also feel Phoenix will give us a much needed home for our off pitch activity. As well as after match teas for both Seniors and Junior home games, the venue will also host:

Club meetings - monthly Management Committee meetings, Youth meetings and our Annual General Meeting
Senior Club dinner - 2024-25 booked for Saturday 12th April
Youth awards night - 2024-25 booked for Friday 25th April
Club socials - the first one as an introduction to the venue for us will be a quiz night, this has been booked for Saturday 2nd November, separate post to follow

Having all our key events in one venue is a first for us as a club, making this an exciting opportunity and a partnership I look forward to seeing develop. An added benefit for after match teas is that changing rooms will be made available on-site. Teas will be a basic chip-butty but will be available to both home and away teams as well as officials.

Our ask to you, our members is that you embrace this change and support the new venue. You can do this by attending our opening event social and by attending after match teas.
