Rotherham Hockey Club are starting “Walking Hockey” activity for the enjoyment of all ages, abilities and gender. This will be a fun way of improving fitness and meeting others.

The sessions will initially be held monthly on Monday's from 11.00 am to 12 noon starting on the 17th May and you will be playing on the new astroturf pitch at the Sheffield Hallam Sports Park, Brinsworth, S9 1UA.

Due to current Covid precautions, booking is essential.

To cover the pitch hire costs the fee per session will be no more than £4 or less than £2 depending on numbers attending.

Dress is sporting gear suitable for the weather but allowing sufficient movement for Hockey. Trainers or Astroturf boots must be worn (NO STUDDED FOOTBALL BOOTS), Shin pads are essential and we recommend gum shields are worn. You should bring your own stick but we do have some you can borrow.

There are Covid protocols that we have to abide by which include, only using your own equipment, bring a hand sanitiser, social distancing when not playing and bring plenty to drink.

To take part in any hockey activity all participants must complete the England Hockey Participation Form, the link for this is: England Hockey Form. This form only needs completing before the first session but it is essential that you select Rotherham HC from the drop down menu of venues you will be attending.
