Playing in Division 3 of 6, the Rotherham girls dealt 3 outstanding performances against three very strong sides.
The first game saw them face Harrogate, both teams came close to netting numerous times, but the 25 minutes wasn't enough and thanks to some stalwart defending from Caitlin Barber the game ended 0-0.
With a quick 5 minute turn around they faced a well drilled Wakefield B side, the Greens passed the ball around well, but Rotherham matched their pace by closing the ball down early and putting their players under pressure, leaving them no time to play. Although Jessica Vaughan and Ellie Wales came close on a number of occasions this game too finished 0-0.
After a two game break Rotherham faced South Yorkshire rivals Doncaster, a strong Doncaster team put Rotherham under lots of pressure but yet again Caitlin Barber rallied the defense together and her along with Georgina De'ath, Heather Kingston and Emily Wynne kept them at bay.
De'ath cleared the ball up field to Vaughan who found a foot in the D and won Rotherham a penalty corner. A right slip to Vaughan found Wales on the penalty spot who swept the ball home at close range.
Doncaster had little time to reply as Rotherham walked away with a 0-1 win and promotion into Yorkshire Division 2.
Man of the Match Caitlin Barber for her outstanding man to man marking and organisation of the team.
