Jade Hamer worked relentlessly in the right midfield position and the combination of Kate License and Sarah Hartley on the right hand side created breaks for Rotherham team time after time. However, it was playing down the left hand side of the field that lead to Rotherham’s equalising goal, the ball was played wide from defence to Alice Clegg who drove it into the top of the D where Lucy Cooke sensibly found Emma Bray unmarked at the back post, Bray coolly slotted the ball past the post and into the back of the net claiming a much needed point for the Rotherham girls.

It didn’t take long for Rotherham to find the opener Cooke masey run found the back of the net after just 4 minutes and in the 10th a deflection from Hamer at the near post flew past the goal keeper, followed up by a well worked penalty corner was tapped in at the back post by Hartley.
