Photographic Policy

Photographs of our teams and juniors in action for RTCC, as well as other club activities, are an important part of what we do - they add to the club's long and rich history, support engagement of members at all levels and let us celebrate our successes, but we take our responsibilities seriously. In-line with our website host; Pitchero, our photographic policy is that:

  • Personal information which can lead to a child or vulnerable adult being identified should never be used.
  • If photos or videos of a child or vulnerable adult are used, permission must be granted by a parent or guardian.
  • Photos or videos of children should focus on a team activity and not an individual.
  • All persons photographed must be appropriately dressed, not under the intoxication of drugs or alcohol and not use foul or abusive language.

If you are a parent or guardian of a child at this club and do not wish them to be included in any photographic material, please let a coach or club official know. You can also contact our safeguarding lead directly. Similarly, if you wish for a published photograph containing an image of your child to be removed or redacted retrospectively, please do get in touch.

The Ben Jessop Sheffield and District Junior Cricket League also sets out wider requirements for parents and away teams. Refer section 6.1 and 6.2 of the BJSDJCL Handbook 2022:

  • 6.1 ...anyone taking photo or video images of junior cricketers must gain prior permission from the home club. If any away players are to be included in the shot, permission must be gained from the away team as well. Under NO circumstances should any photos/images be posted anywhere other than the club or League websites.
  • 6.2 Clubs should ban the use of mobile phones/cameras/recording devices in changing rooms for any reason.
