After losing the toss, Town were put in to bat and posted a modest 160 with Murtaza Ahmed top-scoring with 42 from 53 balls and Waseem Dar contributing 37, but a 5 for 18 from 11 overs by Chaamikara Hewage played a big part in keeping the score down and the wickets ticking over.
In to bat, the hosts were actually behind on the run rate for much of the game as a victory looked like it could still be on the cards for Rotherham, however Oughtibridge narrowed the gap from the 30th over and went on to notch the necessary runs to complete the run chase with 5 wickets in hand. Joel Wake was the highest scorer for Oughtibridge with 44 whilst giving away 30 from extras didn't help Town's cause.
Our 1sts are next due to host Whitley Hall on Saturday 30th July at 12 midday.
