Rugby Welsh have been saddened to hear of the sudden passing away of two of Rugby’s most well-known and respected players in the last week.
Dom Marsella was a fine flanker who played the game in its true spirit and represented both Newbold and Old Laurentians with distinction over numerous years.
Alan ‘Bish’ Bale represented Newbold for over 30 years as a powerful scrum half. He also served the club in various administrative roles, including being their current president.
Rugby Welsh wish to pass on its condolences to both Newbold and Old Laurentians and also to both of their families, who are well respected in the rugby community. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this sad time.
