Day 2 of our 2019 tour saw tourists return to the scene of the previous days success. 3 from 3 already on the scoreboard had us well positioned for silverwear however there was a job to be done and local team Folkestone appeared to be there to try and get their revenge on 'the cocky Londoners....'
Sadly due to a few injuries after a tough day Chipstead decided enough was enough and withdraw from the competition - officials therefore scored this match at 15 : 0 in favor of Ruislip.
Chipstead struggled against a mixed ability side from Ruislip however they seemed to reorganise at 1/2 time and gave our lads more of a challenge in the second half - but this was unfortunately too little too late - match finishing Ruislip 30 : 5 Epping.
Last match of the tournament was definitely the one that was going to bring the action. Ruislip had come hard against Folkestone the previous day beating them by 45 : 20. The boys knew there was a desire for revenge as they were the locals and we were the 'Londoners' after a hard fought match Ruislip managed to score 9 unanswered try's ending the match 45 : 0.
This was a fantastic display of strength over 2 days of Rugby with lads from both blue and gold teams working really well together as one squad and remaining undefeated and dominant. The results table says it all... Ruislip U13's achieving 230 points and only conceding 30.
Needless to say there was much celebration that evening with awards being dished out by the Gloucester's star Winger Charlie Sharples.
