Runcorn Town u10s get their new campaign underway tomorrow in the St Helens & Rainhill District League against Berkley Celtic. Town will be heading into their new league after a very positive summer after only losing 1 friendly out of a possible 7 and also being runners up the Bolton Wanderers Super Cup and quarter finalists in the Frodsham Festival of football.
Berkley Celtic are a well established team and finished in a modest mid-table position last season whilst also reaching the semi-final of the Champions League Cup, losing to eventual winners Whiston Celtic, so they are sure to be a very good side.
No game will be easy in this league and this will only help our development as a team. We have put together a great squad and seen some massive improvements over the past 3 months, so if we take this into the new season, I am sure that we will do very well.
As we are being put into the unknown, we have no targets apart from everyone trying their best, playing football the right way, respecting our opposition and referees and most importantly, playing football with a smile upon our faces.
Good luck everyone
