Ruthin’s success is based on producing quality players from their youth system through their Development Squad and Reserves into the first team. Currently 17 of the 20 man first team squad played youth football for Ruthin Town Youth. The First Team Manager is committed to this process which depends on having an effective bridge from youth level to senior level. The Development Squad is a big part of that bridge. We have been producing Tier 2 players for over 25 years and we argue that no club has produced more. This is a tried and tested model which all candidates can have confidence in.
We are looking for a Manager/Coach to help us continue this success. Age is no barrier and we would consider candidates with relevant playing experience or young and not so young, qualified coaches. This is a voluntary position but the club would support the successful candidate to further their coaching education and should they not already have a B or C coaching certificate we would look at funding those courses.
Ruthin Town Football Club is one of the longest established Cymru Alliance clubs having played in the league for 23 of its 28 year history. We are looking to secure a top 6 position this year. The successful candidate would work closely with the Reserves and First Team managers and would become an integral part of the management structure at Ruthin. The Developement Squad play in the Wrexham Area Reserves/Colts league which is a competitive league giving youngsters and ideal introduction to senior football. The manager is supported by senior players who are always keen to support and nurture young players coming through.
As Tier 2 enters a new and exciting period under the banner of the FAW it is important that we continue to produce high quality players in order for us to secure a sustainable future at this level.
