We progressed to the next round thanks to an odd goal in five victory against Guilsfield. Adam Jenkins put the Guils ahead after seventeen minutes with Kevin Evans equalising before the break. We took control in the second half and as the match came toward the hour mark two goals in quick succession from from Llyr Morris on 58 minutes and Osian Davies on 61 minutes gave Ruthin the lead. However, Jack Harris converted a penalty for Guilsfield to give the home crowd a nervous 10 minutes before the final whistle.
