Saffron up to 5th in the league

Saffron started with Joe Brown in the 1st minute going through on goal to be stopped with a wonderfully timed challenge. After a couple of missed chances for ashby saffron took the lead with a whipped in cross from Myles Braden for Jake Limbert to smash the volley home 1-0 saffron. Several more chances missed at both ends, but a run into the box from Sam Slater and a missed timed tackle from ashby resulted in another cooly dispatched penalty from josh kind 2-0 saffron. An injury to Myles Braden forces him off and he's replaced by the versatile Harry Henery. A great block from captain Ben Tye in the last few minutes of the 1st half from a goal bound ashby effort sees saffron going in at half time 2-0 up.

A change at half time sees Josh Lee come off for Jamie Starbuck

Saffron started the 2nd half brightly and gained a free kick on the edge of the box which was narrowly missed by Zak Woolman. A great tackle by Joe Brown sees him win the ball back and drive towards goal and calmly put the ball into the net 3-0 saffron. After a lucky break a ball managed to come off one of the saffron defenders and put through the ashby forward on the half way line and he wants going to be caught and finished well 3-1. Minutes later substitute Starbuck tried to put a ball into the back post for the rushing Zak Woolman but a deflection sees it end up in the ashby net 4-1 saffron. 5 minutes after that another goal for saffron and Jamie Starbuck smashes it home from 25 yards 5-1 saffron. After most of the play going saffrons way a corner for ashby sees them get another goal from the towering captain 5-2. With saffron still having the majority of the play in the 2nd half a 1st goal for Zak Woolman with an instinctive strikers goal turning and hitting hit from 25 yards out into the bottom corner and giving the goalkeeper no chance 6-2 saffron. with the game all but ended Jake Limbert put the icing on the cake to a great 2nd half performance making it 7-2 Saffron and taking us upto 5th in the league.
