Saffron Walden RFC prepare for 5 games in a celebration of local rugby
We will be hosting the Cambridgeshire Cup Finals this Saturday 27th April.
5 games during the afternoon culminating in the Cambridgeshire Senior Finals at 4pm. Over 200 players will be participating from around the region in what promises to be a great afternoon of competitive local rugby.
The afternoon starts with 2 games at 12noon with the Junior Cup Final: Mildenhall and Red Lodge facing Shelford 4th team and a St.Ives 2's team take on Bury St.Edmunds 4th team in the Junior Plate Final.
Then at 2pm there are 2 more games, Saffron Walden Saxons play Cambridge 3's in the Intermediate Cup Final and Shelford 3's take on Bury St.Edmunds 3's in the Intermediate Plate Final.
Rounding off at 4pm Saffron Walden 1st XV will face Wisbech 1st XV in the Final of the Cambridgeshire Senior Cup.
Referees and Touch Judges will be provided by Cambridge University Rugby Referees Society.
The event is sponsored by Bidwells with Support from Greene King and Wolfpack Lager which was set up a couple of years ago by two Saracens Professionals Chris Wyles and Alistair Hargreaves who will be bringing their Land Rover Bar down to support the event.
The Club Bar will be open all afternoon and the team will run a BBQ cooking up some Burgers and Hot Dogs, plus a local Ice Cream Van.

All money raised will go towards local Youth Rugby.
