5. Salisbury Walkers

Come and join the Salisbury Walkers

New to our club this season, Walking hockey is a form of the sport that provides players a fun, social and relaxed form of hockey. It’s exactly the same as hockey, just played at a walking pace, so is less physically demanding.

Weekly training for the 2024-25 season runs every Friday, 10:00 - 11:00, starting 13 September.

Come and give Salisbury Walkers a go for free on 4 August

We invite anyone keen to see whether Walking Hockey is for them to come along to a free introductory session on Sunday 4 August, from 12:00 - 13:00, on our astro pitch at Salisbury & South Wilts Sports Club. After the session, refreshments will be available in the clubhouse.

WHO MIGHT WANT TO PLAY WALKING HOCKEY?

  • Former players who have given up hockey due to age and / or injury or those attracted by the new angle on a sport they previously loved.
  • People who have never played the sport before but are looking for a gentle sport as an introduction.
  • Players who have enjoyed other walking sports and now want to give hockey a go.
  • Generations of families who want a version of the game they can play together.
  • Current members who want to play a little more.
