Saturday (24th September) evening, representatives from the club attended a charity ball held in memory of former player and captain Keith McLoughlin, to receive an award in his memory. The memorial black-tie event, hosted by Southern Water and in aid of the Mountbatten Hospice, was held at the Island Sailing Club, Cowes.

An evening of reminiscence and celebration raised over £1500 for the hospice. Keith’s brother, Ian, was joined by Nick Drake-Knight and Martin Keyworth to accept a new award for the club, The Keith McLoughlin Memorial Cup, kindly donated by Southern Water. The trophy will be presented at our next Awards evening. Thanks to Ian, Tara and Southern Water. It was a pleasure and privilege to attend.
