The Hurricanes have been on a roll as of late, tasting victory in their last three fixtures. This weekend Sandown & Shanklin entertain Petersfield RFC at the Fairway, with sights firmly set on the visitors and the victory to pull the home side closer to the top of the Snows Group Hampshire 1.
Petersfield have been pushing as of late to maintain their spot at the top of the league, with recent wins over the aspiring Fordingbridge and also a narrow victory over the Isle of Wight last weekend.
The Hurricanes are at almost full strength, however the Carey brothers are the only men missing through injury this weekend; with Joel still recovering from his hand injury sustained against the Isle of Wight last November, and Ryan nursing an ankle injury sustained against the victory at Romsey.
Captain Sam Rees is look forward to testing his charges against a side with similar aspirations as the Hurricanes. 'It is these types of games that you look forward to playing in and testing yourself against good opposition. We have been in some good form as of late and with the momentum with us and the way we are playing really clicking together as of late, this Saturday will be a great contest for supporters, friends and family to come and watch.'
Kick off on Saturday is at 1400, and the bar will be open before hand. There will also be Lunch available for friends, members, supporters and VPs before the match. We hope to welcome you all at the Club, from 1200 for 1230.
