The Hurries were itching to get on the pitch and make amends for their first home defeat of the season last week.

They hosted Camberley who they defeated earlier in the season.

Hurries kicked off against Camberley, who they had defeated ealier in the season, as if they meant it. In total control of every aspect of the game, several early attacks took them close to the visitor’s line only to lose possession. The visitors kicked a half-way penalty to take the lead kick 0-3.

Richard Booth then chipped ahead for WIGHTLINK man-of-the-match Dan Muir to chase, beating two defenders he touched down under posts, converted by Howard, 7-3. Hurries were in all out attack mode with multi-phase play. Captain Joe Rees picked up from the base of a scrum, going blind he fed full back Kern Wales who broke three tackles to score an unconverted try, 12-3.

The visitors then upped their game and forced play near the Hurries line, but Hurries defence held out. The visitors missed a half way penalty kick. Will Baxendall then found a gap in the centre and was stopped a metre from the try line, a quickly rucked ball was fed to Alex Howard to touch down and convert, 19-3.

The visitors attacked and Baxendall ripped the ball from their player, staying on his feet, powered forwards and taking 5 visitors to pull him down. Again, quickly rucked ball by VIKOMA man-of-the-match Sam Rees, was fed out to Wales, who superbly drew the defence before slipping the ball to Luke Chandler for an unconverted try, half time 24-3.

Whatever the Camberley coach said at half time, worked, as they upped their game by 100%. Possession rugby in the forwards and feeding the backs at the right moment as the cracks started to appear in the Hurries defence. One of the Camberley centre's set up his right wing to score an unconverted try, then almost immediately, he set up his left wing to score another unconverted try.
24-13 Game on!

Hurries forced play to a now rare visit in to the visitors 22, with a close in line out. The visitors fumbled the ball and Sam Tolley and Alex Howard stormed through, the ball bounced up for Howard to score an unconverted try, 29-13. Hurries made substitutions but the visitors felt a shock result was still available, as they started to dominate with their heavier forwards and were in control.

After a close in ruck the visitors No.8 barged over for an unconverted try, 29-18. Again from close in rucks they score another unconverted try, 29-23. From a 5 metre scrum they passed the ball along the line to score an unconverted try in the corner, 29-28. And with 7 minutes to play Hurries tried hard to force play down field, and in trying to run the ball out of their 22 fell to a penalty, which the visitors converted for a well deserved shock win, 29-31.

Hurries from; Harris, Thomas, Skelley, Hunter, Rees, Tolley, Howard, Joe & Sam Rees, Booth, Sutton, Chandler, Jones, Baxendall, Muir, Wales, Eldridge, Morey, Heelan.
