In typhoon conditions the boys continued their unbeaten run with a 1-1 draw

The tangerine army were back at their home ground the Sands Siro Stadium this week.
The opposition this week AFC Hackelton who ran out 3-2 winners the last time we played.

The game was started by the Sands men who looked to impose themselves on the game early on. They were soon playing the football they have grown accustomed to over the last few weeks, as passes were made to feet from back to front as we sought to move Hackelton out of position.

Best and Littlemore using their years of playing together well down the right-hand side of the pitch with some nice combos.
It wasn't long before the move from the right-hand side left R.Harrison free to shoot for the first real effort of the game, sadly the execution was just lacking and the keeper held firm, but it was a delightful move as Sands showed they meant business early doors.
As the rest of the half went on we created a few more chances as Littlemore popped a few efforts at goal without really testing the keeper.
Then in a move started from the back the ball fell to Gatusso Best who pinged a perfect through ball through to R.Harrison, He took that ping added the pong and made no mistake with an emphatic finish that the keeper had no chance in saving. A goal our manager would no doubt have loved.

The next few minutes saw Hackelton try to take advantage of the conditions, which were on the verge of being declared a major hurricane, the ball just held up and invited the pressure on us, however there was to be no way past the defensive machines of Hilliker, Sharp, Best Heard and Blake.

Right at the end of the half Hackelton decided that two keepers are better than one as they gave a way a penalty for a hand ball.
Up stepped Littlemore, who decided he would try to be like one of them takers who do a fake step in the hope the keeper moves, however he didn’t and Littlemore ended up putting the confused in confused.com forgot what his duties were and tamely hit the shot for the keeper to save and hold.

Half time 1-0.

The second half was not quite the same intensity as the first half, understandable considering the conditions.
Hackelton started the second half brightly looking to play their passing game and put us under pressure, as ever the boys are quite resolute and nothing really got passed them, that was until a free kick was given away.

From the right hand side the ball curled in, the team were all set in their positions to clear the ball, but then some kind of voodoo magic occurred and the ball just stopped in mid-air leaving everyone flat footed except the Hackelton striker for whom the ball couldn’t have stopped any more perfectly for and he made no mistake. 1-1

The remainder of the half saw some end to end football but with little end product, Sharp turned danger man and put in a few tantalising crosses but the final touch was just missing.

A good move also saw the Watford warrior have a great chance to secure the winner but their keeper wearing a woollen hat which meant he was so warmed up he got off his line very quickly to deny him his first goal for the club.
There were to be no more real chances from either side to win the game and the full time whistle saw the points shared.
The unbeaten run however goes on.
