Santos Under 12's Beat Hollinwood JFC 3 - 1

Santos started the game at a good tempo against Hollinwood JFC on a rainy Sunday morning at Wright Robinson, some good passing between defence and midfield saw Santos reach Hollinwood's penalty area on a number of occasion but just like last week the lads seemed to be afraid of having a shot on goal, instead they tried to walk the ball into the net. After heavy pressure Hollinwood hit Santos on the break to take a 1-0 lead with their very first shot on goal. Santos tried to get the equaliser they so thoroughly deserved but went in at half time trailing by the one goal.

The 2nd half started just like the 1st with Santos taking over their opponents half, testing their keeper on a number of occasion but still the goal didn't come. Finally after some good link up play from defence to midfield to the wing, the ball found it's way to Joseph Wright, who banged in a well deserved equaliser.

Goal number 2 came after Santos again had chances. After a shot on goal, Santos followed it up to grab the loose ball, a couple of shots were blocked before the ball fell nicely to Ryan Levein who poked home goal number 2. After the kick off, Santos put the pressure straight back on Hollinwood which led them losing the ball, after some good link up play on the right, the ball came to Ellis Bardsley who scored goal number 3 with a well hit strike.

The scoreline didn't properly reflect the Santos performance & Hollinwood never troubled the Santos keeper, showing how much of the game Santos dominated.
