SBCI CC – CHANGES TO ANNUAL LOTTERY – 50 CLUB
The club’s recently approved Development Plan for the next 12 months commits to spend some £10,000 of our reserves on further improvements to the ground in addition to the £4,000 spent last year on the access track and additional seating.
It is, therefore, more important than ever to ensure that we have regular income streams from all Club activities. The 100 club has now been in operation for some 20 years and should produce £600 per annum for Club funds with two top prizes of £100 in June and December. Actual average income over the last 10 years has only been £450 despite massive amounts of time and effort from each of those volunteer administrators. Having had the personal privilege of this role for almost 9 months, I would suggest that the time, effort and embarrassment factor is disproportionate to the expected income this year of £350 (17 numbers currently not subscribed)
Bearing in mind the age of this lottery, the General Committee are intending to replace the 100 Club with a 50 Club for 2010 requiring a monthly entrance fee of just £5 per month. This will generate an income of £1500 per annum with the prize fund more than twice the current levels.
We are also encouraging the use of standing order payments directly into the main Club account. As an alternative (although not preferred) members could pay 1 payment of £60 or 2 of £30 to remove the tedious collection process. Assuming full take up, the breakdown of prizes will be;-

1The name and address of your bank in the address box at the top
2Your 50 Club lottery number should be entered as the last two digits of the reference number on the standing order. Clearly, should you have more than one number and wish to pay through one standing order, then add the initials of your name as the last two digits and change the amount to be paid.

4Your personal account details (sort code – account name and number)
5A contact phone number (for bank use)
