Thirsk & Malton Men’s 3rd blew Scarborough Men’s 2nd away with a professional
performance by winning 1-8. Jake Sewell made a series of outstanding saves in goal
to keep the away side from scoring double figures. Jay Meatheringham grabbed a
consolation goal by a wonderful through ball from midfielder Will Palmer, which
gave Jay the opportunity to round their keeper & slotted the ball away calmly.
There where deputes for Rupert Cowie, Freddie Bradley, Joe William & Jack Breese
all who had strong performances throughout the game. Scarborough Captain Ben
Richardson praised the team’s determination and work effort from start to finish.
