Cape Town played host to another electric round of the SVNS World Series this weekend, and Scimitar Storm had representation across the tournament like never before.

Nine Storm athletes featured for five different nations, further cementing the programme’s reputation as a genuine pathway for elite sevens talent.

Representing Spain, Noah Canepa continued to build on an impressive run of form. Great Britain fielded a strong trio of Storm regulars in Marcus Kershaw, Ryan Apps and Luca Bardelli, all adding tempo, energy and a familiar Storm edge to their national set-up.

Home support roared for Nabo Sokoyi, who pulled on the colours of South Africa as they emerged triumphant, while New Zealand showcased a powerful Storm contingent of Sam Clarke, Scott Gregory and Bradley Tocker. Completing the international spread, Sakiusa Siqila represented Fiji, bringing that trademark flair the islands are known for.

For Scimitar Storm, this weekend wasn’t just a milestone. It was a statement.

Since its inception, Storm has been built around opportunity, giving players the platform to grow, compete, and take their game global. To see nine athletes from the programme feature across five World Series nations speaks volumes about the standard being set, both on and off the pitch.

It also arrives at the perfect time as the team shapes its new sponsor deck for 2025. The story is simple: Storm is producing world-level talent, and the evidence is right there on the biggest stages in sevens.

From Dubai to Cape Town and everywhere in between, the Storm identity continues to spread. Proud, relentless, ambitious and now, unmistakably global.

A huge congratulations to all nine players who stepped out under the bright lights this weekend. The journey continues, and the Storm family will be watching every step.
