After a good warm up the greens opened their account when Ben Conroy scored within the first 30secs of the game. From the kick off the greens well organised defence enforced the ball turnover from the six tag rule and a good pass from Charlie Murr set Connor Brewster in for his first try of the day. Leeds came back with a break through the middle of the greens defence to pull one back before Connor Brewster broke round the Leeds players for his second try. Good pressure out wide by the greens regained the ball for Connor Brewster to be tagged just short of the line but quick thinking he fed the ball to the supportive Ben Conroy to score his second and Greens fourth of the half. Straight from the kick off though Leeds broke through the middle again to run in from the half way line to finish the half at 4 tries to 2 in the Greens favour.
At the start of the second half the greens showed their ever improving teamwork feeding Ben Conroy for his hat trick try before the referee noticed an additional player on the Leeds side. Leeds again came back pressurising the greens defence but even though they tagged well Leeds managed to get over the line for their 3rd and final try of the game. As the game drew to a close it was Charlie Murr who had the final say dodging through half the Leeds team to score again leaving a final result of 6 tries to 3 for Scunthorpe.
With the experienced players left out of the second game the greens kicked off and good support play saw Brett Howden break down the left wing managing to avoid the Leeds players and the touch line score in the corner to give the greens the opening try of the second game. Leeds fought back with a try of their own to level the scores. The Greens began passing the ball around but unfortunately knocked on giving Leeds a break away try. Good running by Mellissa Howden who was unfairly pushed into touch, took a quick penalty tap to Morgan Williams who scored a well taken try to level the scores but from the kick off Leeds broke through the middle to give Leeds a half time advantage 3 tries to 2.
At the start of the second half Scunthorpe were not concentrating and allowed Leeds to increase their advantage before Sam Warburton out paced the Leeds defence to score in the corner. The home team scored again before the improving Alex Dawson showed his power breaking through from the half way to score. Leeds had the final say scoring at the end of the half to win the game 6 tries to 4 but a good effort by the Greens.
The final game saw both defences on top with good breaks by Charlie Murr and Connor Brewster the latter getting forced into touch just before the line. Pressure by Leeds finally told and they opened the scoring but Lewis Cross playing well broke through and passed to Ben Conroy to score the equalizing try of the game to leave the scores level at half time.
In the second half an excellent passing move involving Lewis, Ben and Charlie saw the latter finally dodge his way in to give the Greens the lead but again the home team put pressure on Scunthorpe but for a try saving tag by Ben Conroy kept them at bay. Lewis Cross had a good run but with no support Scunthorpe were unable to extend their lead and just before the final whistle Leeds finally got their second try to give a final score of 2 tries each.
