Attendances at this year's Legends game were severely affected by the rain, but those who turned up enjoyed an entertaining game.
Shaun Mason opened the scoring with a well worked try after exchanging passes with Elliott Pratt. Joe Cowie converted for 7-0.
Brad Green narrowed the arrears within two minutes when he capitalised on a moment of indecision and pounced on a loose ball for try. Craig Gilmour sliced the conversion wide so it stayed 7-5.
Elliot Pratt outpaced the Legends defence for the next try. Joe Cowie added his second conversion for 14-5.
Ben Turnbull added a third try for Seaham when he used his pace to his advantage and outstripped the Legends defence to touch down. Joe Cowie's third conversion from three attempts made it 21-5.
Ben Turnbull saw yellow shortly afterwards for a high tackle as referee Ray Sutherland implemented the new law variations. Ben Wood followed suit shortly afterwards and took a ten minute rest in the sin bin.

.
Seaham skipper Kurt Miller scored his first try of the season 10 minutes into the second half when he took a quick tap penalty and burrowed over from 10 metres out. Joe Cowie converted for 28-5
Returning Seaham prop Mick Flowers saw his match cut short when he left the field with a tweaked hamstring around the hour.
The true meaning of the word Legend was epitomised when Matty Burdess took to the field, aged 72. However, his appearance was stifled when he was issued a yellow card for a high tackle a couple of minutes in.
Elliott Pratt rounded off the scoring when he scored a late try in the corner to seal the game. However, the biggest cheer was reserved for Mr Burdess' return from the sin bin to see out the final stages of the game.
Full Time: Seaham 33 - 5 Legends
The cup presentation saw Seaham get their hands on the Dave Giblin Memorial Trophy for the first time. Legends skipper Paul Price couldn't complain, seeing as the Legends had won every other game since 2007.
