Mike was a regular member of the colts side in the 89/90 season who went on to play both first and second team rugby, before he switched to football, becoming a prolific goal scorer for Kartiers FC. However Michael kept his ties with the club and will be fondly remembered for his ground breaking performances at stars in their eyes and comic turns at talent night, both of which allowed him to display his incredible sense of humour, something that stayed with him all through his illness. Our thoughts and best wishes are with his wife Emma, his sons Freddie and Logan and all his family at this sad time.

Mike's funeral will take place at Selby Abbey on Wednesday 14th January at 1.30pm followed by cremation and afterwards at Selby RUFC.
