Injuries deplete Squad but players standing battle to the end

The Youth Club travelled to Berwick with a squad of 16 players and ended with 14 players on the field with a few carrying injuries.
Despite this the Youth Club found themselves behind at half time (after 30 minutes) by 12 points to nil.
The Youth Club was reduced to 14 players with Fraser Easson and Matthew Francis injured and Aaron Henderson struggling . However the Youth Club were playing the better rugby against a bigger more physical Berwick team. They were rewarded with a try from scrum half Liam Davidson with Scott Clark converting to make it 12 - 7. The Youth Club troubled Berwick at times and defended valiantly until the last part of the half when Berwick found some gaps with the Youth Club players tiring and run in a couple of tries in the 36th and 39th minute of the second half!!!!
Hopefully some of the injured players will be back for Gala Wanderers next week.
