After some disappointing defeats in the later part of the season, Emerald came 2nd to the Lions, who won the tournament by beating us on the final day

A very good showing by Emerald, and I hope that next season we can produce the same or better set of results! Of course that means we need a few of our long term injuries to come back fighting fit after the Xmas break.

We also need new players to come and play, as I notice we have quite a few who have joined but not played yet, so please make a big effort and join us on a Sunday morning! Giles will be knocking on your doors to ensure you come along!

Next season we will continue to play in the Vets League, but we will also play every Sunday, even if we are playing league games. On the days we play a league match we will play at the Emerald football pitch from 10 am, and Bharat will bring the vests to ensure those who do not want to play in the league have a game! So please support Bharat and the Emerald by turning up! On days we do not play league matches we will play at BISS at 10:30am. Why play at BISS, well the pitches are professional and they are enjoyable to play on, whereas the Emerald pitch is a smaller and the surface challenging, but this is where we started and is still our home!

We also have several opportunities to play in overseas competitions next year, and will keep you all informed as to when these will happen. These events are by the way the one of the best parts of being an SEFC player!

Our new season will kick off some time in the new year, and I will let you know when this is once it is announced.

A huge thank you to our committee and all their hard work in making this season the huge success it was and for next season!

Our new kits are look great, so here is to 2014 and our 11th year as a club!

Cheers!
David
