Hi all,
There wasn’t much senior rugby played this weekend with our First the only adult team in action. They travelled up to the road in our second last away trip of the season. Injury and the Munster A match meant that we travelled with a depleted team from our usual but the lads that did travel weren’t short of passion and ability and they put in a solid shift on the day. Naas got points on the board early but we dug deep and got ourselves back in the game to bring the final score to 21-14 and a losing bonus point. Find a match report here.

Our underage had a successful weekend with a variety of teams lining out across all age groups. Our U18s had a solid win away to Thomond and welcomed back some of our school paneled players. The U15s won well in Nenagh and the U14s won in Bruff. Our U12s and U11s had a special day as they trained in Saint Munchins College. The U12s squad played a game with one team wearing Saint Munchins gear and another wearing Shannon gear. A sign of things to come in the future for many of these lads.

The lotto for the last week showed no winners.

For the 09th of March, the numbers drawn were; 03, 12, 13, 14 and consolation prizes of €50 went to:

Vinnie McMahon c/o Club
Les O’Gorman c/o Club
Mike Britchfield c/o Club

Next week’s draw is for €5,900 and will be held in The Mall Bar on the 16th March.
