Our Ladies were the only Senior team in action this weekend as they welcomed Ballincollig to Coonagh in the Cup Quarter Final. The ladies started well and kept up the momentum throughout the match, emerging victorious with a score line of 31-3. The score line didn’t tell the true tale of the match as it was a toughly fought affair between both sides. Shannon utilized the bench wisely and the fitness won out on the day with the Ladies scoring a brace of tries in the second half. Onwards this weekend to the semi-final away to Bandon.
Our seconds again received a walkover last weekend so will be looking forward to getting back on the pitch this weekend. It’s coming to the business end of the season for both our Seconds and Thirds who are in Cup action this weekend. The Thirds face St. Mary’s/Thomond in the Webb Cup on Saturday in Grove Island, while the Seconds meet Richmond in the Transfield Cup final in Thomond Park on Sunday. Come along and give the lads your support!
We will be running our final pre-match of the season at this Saturday’s match v Buccaneers. Make sure to book your spot soon as places are filling up. Contact Pablo on 083-4034909 to book!
We are also delighted to announce that we are running a Race Night again this year on the 21st of April in O’Driscoll’s Bar Corbally. Make sure you come along this year as last year was such a success and a great club night! If you are interested in sponsoring a race, or putting an advert in our programme let me know and I will forward your information.
Our Ladies are also running a Bingo night on Friday night in the clubhouse starting at 7.30pm. The girls will be hosting a bake sale on the night. It is a child friendly event, all are welcome! Help support our ladies who are fundraising for their tour to Amsterdam in May!
