COACHES' COMMENT

David Ingall:

Chris did as he was asked and was awarded Man of the Match. We needed urgency at the breakdown and he showed it in bucket loads.

VIEW FROM THE TOUCHLINE

Simon Bebbington:

Sheffield's style of strong breakthrough runs gave the boys victory in the first and third matches, but a blitz defence and equally strong running gave the opponents the upper hand in the second match.

It was good to see more passing than usual from some of the strong runners as they neared being tackled and contained. this kept the ball alive and allowed Sheffield to capitalise on the ground made by the runner.

Kai Chung:

I thought the team looked much more integrated than they have been to date. They passed the ball and supported each other going forward.

However, there were gaps in our defence here and there and at times there was a lack of urgency in the pack.

Our boys are well trained but need to use their skills more consistently and perhaps react more immediately as the situation changes, especially in the loose.
