Bankers Pav's say goodbye to Powley, Taylor and Urwin and thank them for last season.

Sheffield Bankers Pav say goodbye to Lloyd Tayloy, Mark “Cafu” Powley and Tom Urwin, who sadly won’t be back with the club this season, having all left Sheffield.

Lloyd Taylor played 15, scored 6, 2 assists, 2 man of the match awards.

Lloyd started with an impressive debut display away at Crookes Crusaders, scoring and assisting as the Bankers romped to a 5-2 win. Despite not being renowned for his tracking back! Taylor made a number of goal line clearances throughout the season to accompany his attacking ability, a first half brace of goals in the Monday night demolition of Sheffield Trinity was backed up with countless impressive displays as he terrorised fullbacks and opposition players with his skill and direct dribbling.

Mark “Cafu” Powley Played 12.

The lack of trackable stats does injustice to Luton’s answer to Cafu, after impressing in a behind closed doors friendly, Powley burst onto the SDFPL Div 3 stage with a commanding debut at home against run away league leaders Totley Sports, in a 3-3 draw that saw the Bankers be the first team to take points off the eventual champions. Playing predominantly at right back, Powley’s versatility saw him line up at right midfield, leftback, central midfield and eventually centre back throughout his impressive debut season. Best known for his mazy step over filled bursts down the flank, Powley was the sort of full back you could count on in both attack and defence, and was also notable for standing up for the UMIX centre drinks machines, any time unruly youths were trying to vandalise them!

Tom Urwin played 20, 9 assists, 3 man of the match awards. Players player of the season 2013/14.

Tom “left peg” Urwin made up ½ of the Geordie Shore that was the Pav’s left hand side, impressing early in preseason, Urwin made himself a regular fixture in the team, impressing both on the left hand side and when played centrally, his 9 assists were 2nd highest for the season. Urwin’s displays saw him run away leader in the “players player of the season” voting, his only regret will be leaving having never registered a goal whilst in Bankers colours, as time and time again Refs, Defenders and Keepers would conspire to deny him from hitting the back of the net, with at time inhuman like displays of agility and determination to prevent Urwin registering himself on the score sheet.

We wish all 3 all the best in their future careers, both on and off the field.
