Job Title: Manager First team; currently playing in the Sheffield and Hallamshire County Senior League (Division One – Step 8, Level 12). 3PM Kick-off Saturday.
Job Title: Manager Second team; currently playing in the Sheffield & District Fair Play League (Division Two – Step 10, Level 14). 10:30AM Kick-off Saturday.
Both teams currently play at the same ground: Norton Sports Park, Warminster Road, S8 8PS.
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic football manager to join our team at Sheffield Union FC. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our football team to success and driving the implementation of its philosophy and values. We want both managers to be in communication with each other to allow progression from second team into first. We are a student run club, in which we have some roles which have been filled by our current members they’re as follows: President, Vice president, Registration officer, Treasurer, Welfare officer, Head of recruitment, Head of social media.
Responsibilities:
- Planning and coordinating team training sessions, tactics, and strategies
- Analysing individual and team performance and identifying areas for improvement
- Scouting and recruiting players that fit the club's philosophy and values
- Collaborating with the recruitment personnel to identify and sign players
- a positive team culture and promoting high standards of discipline, teamwork.
Requirements:
- Preferred for some experience in managing a step 10 or above football team
- Some track record of success in leading teams to achieve their goals
- Must have excellent communication and leadership
- Must have a deep understanding of the game, including tactics, technology, and player management techniques
- Must be highly organised and able to work well under pressure
- A coaching license would be preferred for our first team but not paramount
