Tense pressure in clash of the titans

Ladies 3s vs 2s but who would win, who would lose?! 3s were host, but who would score the most?

The 2s set up camp in the 3s half, leaving the 3s forwards/2s defence like redundant staff.

Oh enough of this rhyming malarkey. Who am I kidding. I can’t match Dan’s poetry!

So a short corner drag flick past Casey Elsby from Scarlett Howman saw the the 2s take the lead. The 3s dusted themselves down and dug deep and tried to start playing their style of hockey. The 3s forwards/2s defence saw some action in the second half with short corners awarded/conceded. The 2s were determined to increase their lead but the 3s defence of Justine Jones Nina Wainwright and Sharon Wood were defiant and thwarted the 2s barrage of attempts on goal. Tempers frayed under the tense pressure . Denise Alexander latched onto a loose ball to face Sarah Fuller in goal on a one on one in the dying minutes. Fuller saving the shot and combining with her defence to clear the ball. Final whistle blown and the 2s had the victory, but the 3s felt content that they’d kept the score at a respectable 0-1.
