Fury returnds with a vengance

S&S 3s return fixture against Berkhampstead Hemel 2s was never going to be easy. But, as ever S&S got stuck in and immediately began to pummel the opposition’s defence with press upon press. Awarded with a couple of short corners, Fury took advantage of one and gained the lead for S&S with a blistering shot just inside of the right post. Berko responded a few minutes later and a brave attempt at a save by Cooke-Abbott couldn’t quite keep the ball out of the net. 1-1 at half time.
Fury was deemed to have made a ‘horrendous’ stick tackle and carded! S&S were down to 10 players for five minutes. Regrouped, S&S held tight until they were back to full strength. Fury returned to the match with a vengeance! Her forceful shot from a short corner rebounded off of the keeper into the net. 1-2, victory, job done.
