The weather help up and the pitches were softer, an excellent start to our third mini festival with Royston, Datchworth and Letchworth. The U18s and U15s have come to work together, uniting and demonstrating some excellent teamwork and sportsmanship, communicating under pressure on the pitch and reflecting well off the pitch. We had some excellent passages of play, working the ball through some safe hands, whilst still tending to bunch there was noted improvement towards the second half of the festival, the girls noticing and attacking the spaces created by the opposition as well as using the width of the pitch more effectively. Our newest squad members made their debut and made a positive impact on play, not shying away from the action. The players should be proud of their achievements, all showing dedication to the team, good work rates, progress made and fun had. Another great day out and looking forward to the final festival next Sunday at Shelford.
