PREVIEW: Shepshed Dynamo v Hinckley LRFC

Shepshed Dynamo welcome Leicestershire rivals Hinckley Leicester Road in the Pitching in Northern Premier League Midland Division kick off at The Dovecote Stadium 3pm.

After the disappointment of Tuesdays game against Gresley Rovers being called off (now rescheduled Tuesday 16th April), Shepshed go in search of a first home win in three. Being three down against Walsall Wood to lose 3-2 and being denied a point in the ninty fourth minute against Sutton Coldfield Town last weekend Dynamo remain fifteenth in the table.

Hinckley Leicester Road themselves without a game in the last fortnight hold the final play off position. Having played 29, won 15, drew 8, lost 6 scoring 47 conceding 34 on fifty three points in fifth position.

In their last five games they have won 2 (Boldmere St Michaels 3-0 at home and AFC Rushden & Diamonds 3-0 at home), drew 1(Their most recent game Walsall Wood 1-1 at home) and lost 2 (Corby Town 1 -0 away and Harborough Town 2-0 away).

The two teams have met five times before Shepshed winning 1 Hinckley 3 and a draw. The most recent game was in December with Leicester Road winning 1-0 through a goal from Tendai Daire who has since left the club to join Harborough Town. From that game 16 remain at Dynamo and 12 at Hinckley who have bolstered their play off push by signing Michael Armstrong a defender on dual registration from Stamford.

Hinckley have three former Shepshed players within their ranks. Chairman Ku Akeredolu who made 50+ appearances scoring 7 goals between 1995-97, Dom Brennan's made 18 appearances scoring 4 in 2015-16 and Liam Read who made 120+ appearances scoring over 40 goals.

Entrance to The Dovecote Stadium today is £10 for adults, £6 concessions and £2 under 16's. Programmes will be on sale just inside them ground £2.50 along with the Goalden Goal £1 a go first and last goal stand for the winnings.

The clubhouse will be open from 12 and the Diner and Club Shop will be open prior to kick off.
