This Tuesday evening is our last scheduled fixture under the lights. As Yaxley are the visitors to The Dovecote Stadium kick off 7.45pm in the Pitching in Northern Premier League Midlands Division.

Shepshed Dynamo will be looking to extend their unbeaten run to four after an entertaining 3-2 victory at Sporting Khalsa on Saturday. Despite withstanding heavy pressure resolute defending and superb saves from Brandon Ganley saw that Dempsey Arlott - John and the first and winner from John King saw Shepshed win at Khalsa for the first time. More importantly at the final whistle it was music to Shepshed fans hears as the three points achieved the ultimate goal of last seasons promotion it meant we had maintained our step four status for the next season. The result also saw us move upto thirteenth our highest position since our New Year defeat to Loughborough Dynamo. This also puts us a place below our local rivals and a win against Yaxley would see the two separated by just one point.

Yaxley after their 3-1 deafeat to Loughborough Dynamo dropped to fifteenth in the table the first time they have not occupied the thirteenth position we hold in eight games. They have played 31, won 11, drew 3, lost 17 on thirty six points, scoring 51 conceding 78 (the most conceded in the division). In their last 5 games they have won 1, drew 1 and lost 3. A 3-2 victory over Carlton Town, 4-4 with Soham Town Rangers and defeats to Belper Town 3-0, Coleshill Town 5-0 and Loughborough Dynamo 3-1. Of the goals scored in those games Matthew Sparrow has scored three and Daniel Cotton two.

This is only Yaxley's second visit to The Dovecote Stadium. There first visit was 18th April 2013 in the United Counties League with Shepshed winning 5-1. The two teams have met four times in total both teams winning once and two draws. The first time the two teams met was in the United Counties League Cup at Yaxley 18th September 2012 with The Cuckoos progressing 3-1 after extra time. The most recent was this season 14th September where it looked like a Matt Melbourne 47th minute goal would see Dynamo return home with all three points but a Thomas Waulmsley volley on eighty two minutes gave Yaxley a share of the points. Of the squads from that day thirteen remain at Shepshed and eight of Yaxley's squad were involved in their 3-1 defeat to Loughborough Dynamo at the weekend.
