The visitors went after the game from the start & as early as 2 minutes Ryan Thacker was forced to save from Nathan Mcintosh. Kirby were piling on the pressure Thacker punching clear Pacey's effort & a minute later saving a deflected free kick.
Shepsheds first effort came in the 16th with Elliot Shillingham fumbling Joe Hopewells corner. However from the resulting clearance a fatal error by Ricky Aiten let in Mcintosh.
Six minutes later Kirby doubled their lead. Shepshed again their own worst enemies a mix up at the back & the ball fell to Brett Darby who rifled his shot passed Thacker.
Shepshed task became even harder when Captain Craig Attwood was sent off on 29 minutes for what was deemed a two footed tackle.
Shepshed had their best period of the game up to half time. With Edwards, Aiten & Sutton from a free kick all going close to no avail.
Kirby started the 2nd half in the same ethos & again Thacker was forced to scramble clear from Mcintosh.
Kieron Davies was unlucky not to reduce the arrears 5 minutes in. But the game was over in the 19th with Darby clean through slotting passed Thacker.
Kirby went in search of more & before the Thacker was forced into at least 4 further saves & Shepsheds only by Ginvert was stopped by the Muxloe Shillingham.
A bad day at the office would be an under statement & the old cliche we can now concentrate on the league.
