Four minutes later and Wulfrunians took a deserved lead a poor pass to David Hind was intercepted by David Howells whose shot was saved by Mitchell the rebound fell to Bood whose shot was too strong for both Alvin Jarvis and Smedley to stop the ball from going into the net.

Shepshed rallied and on twenty minutes Courtney Meade was unlucky when Steve Towers put him through on goal and four minutes later Towers again beginning the move linked up with Stevenson and Chris Gray to find Meade in the six yard box and bizarrely rather than shooting chested the ball down.

With the half drawing to a close Stevenson corner was fumbled by Jonathan Brown but Howells was on hand to clear Levi Porter's effort of the line. But the visitors finished the half strongly with Gray intercepting from Gregg on forty minutes and Mitchell saving from Joshua Jones in the last minute of the half.

AFC Wulfrunians regained the lead under slight controversy on eighty minutes after Shepshed attack was cleared Stevenson was bundled off the ball in AFC Wulfrunians half and Gray seemed to be pushed by Demetri Brown before putting the ball out for a throw in.

From the resultant throw in Palmer's cross was met by Bood at the far post to shoot passed Mitchell.

A game of two halves which both sides wouldn't argue a draw would have been a fair result.
