Although the University side may have been the happier with a point after Shepshed had led 3-1 with twenty two minutes remaining.
Unlike the more frenetic start at the Loughborough University Stadium last week, both teams found it hard to settle on a more trickier Dovecote Stadium and the first real chance didn't come until the 9th minute, this went to the Universities James Rowe but his effort went over the top.
Shepshed settled and Steve Powers was unlucky on twelve minutes when put through by Levi Porter but Tom Radkin was able to force a corner. The resultant corner was cleared by Ben Ward - Cochrane and in the fourteenth minute Shepshed continued to press and with Jay Smedley alone at the far post he slotted home to give Dynamo the lead.
Seven minutes later the University were level after good play in midfield the ball found Max Herbert to beat Liam Mitchell in the Shepshed goal.
Shepshed looked to restore their lead immediately on twenty three minutes but Brett Darby's effort came crashing off the crossbar.
The game evened out again with the Students having the balance of play for the next ten minutes on twenty seven minutes Mitchell was equal to the shot of Alun Webb and then two minutes later Sam Minihan fired wide.
However it was Shepshed who would restore their lead ten minutes from half time Danny Chapman with a well timed header from a corner made it two - one, and with the half going into injury time Joe Cobb went close his shot just going over Joe Haystead's goal.
The second half began as slow as the first and again Loughborough University were to have the first chance Alun Webb was put through on goal but Mitchell was there to sweep up the danger.
Shepshe took a two goal advantage with Danny Chapman's fine volley beating Haystead on fifty four minutes. Minutes later and Darby was unlucky not to make it four but his volley was saved by Haystead.
The tide seemed to turn on sixty four minutes Mitchell save from Herbert seemed to give Loughborough University confidence and Herbert involved again put Josh Hill in to reduce the scoreline on sixty eight minutes.
The Universities tails were up and Julian Joachim was forced to clear from Webb on seventy one minutes.
However Towers with Shepshed's only defining effort of the remainder of the game could have changed the storyline on seventy three minutes but his shot was wide of Haystead's goal.
Loughborough University never gave up in search of gaining a point and avoiding Shepshed the bragging rights for this season. On seventy five minutes Jack Poxon fired straight at Mitchell.
The game went into the final ten minutes and The University were not giving up hope of a point on eighty two minutes Herbert who had been a constant threat in the second half shot goal wards, this was partially saved by Mitchell and Shepshed were alert to clear from the incoming threat of Jason Davis.
The equaliser looked more and more likely. Loughborough had flashed a dangerous ball across the box with five minutes to go and then in the eighty seventh minute a repeat ball this time was met by Kayode Bola to level the scores.
Honours even in both encounters but Shepshed Dynamo would probably feel the more aggrieved not to have taken more points from the two games.
