Shepshed Dynamo's first game of the season ended in disappointment as Bedworth United left The Dovecote Stadium with a second half injury time winner.

Looking to carry the momentum from Tuesday evening's Emirates FA Cup win Shepshed failed to get into the game as Bedworth controlled the first half.

Bedworth had three good chances in the first ten minutes. William Grocott firing wide in the third minute, followed by Nuno Gomes Monteiro flashing across the box on seven minutes

Brandon Ganley pulled off a superb diving save to deny Leo Stone from distance on nine minutes.

Shepshed's first foray into the game saw Kieran Cummings beat a couple of defenders but hold onto the ball too long on twenty minutes instead of providing an opportunity on goal.

Bedworth continued to look the better side with Ganley saving from Liam Murphy on twenty six minutes and from the resultant corner Niall Rowe flicked a header into Ganley.

Two minutes later Stones deflected shot was saved by Ganley.

The Greenbacks came again on the half hour mark, Grocott knock on was eventually deemed a handball but Ganley still pushed Murphy's shot onto the crossbar.

Shepshed's main chance of the first half came on forty minutes Shaun Ruzvidzo intercepted the ball in midfield and Sam Lomax pulled off a one handed save from Corey Bucalossi’s near post effort.

After being under pressure for a majority of the first half Shepshed came out sprightly Jahdahn Harper breaking down the right being denied by a timely interception by Luke Rowe on forty eight minutes.

Kieran Cummings then flashed across the box on fifty one minutes.

Two minutes later despite being back in the game Dynamo were a goal down Stone had the original effort which Shepshed failed to clear and Parrott opened the scoring at the left hand post.

Shepshed began to get hold of the ball without any reward but on sixty four minutes Harper flicked the ball on Cummings fed the ball to substitute James Shaw who held the ball up strongly and struck it sweetly on the turn to equalise.

There was a lack of serious action in the final third of the game but Dynamo looked the more likely of winning the game with Lomax advancing out his area to Mason Lee.

With five minutes of the game remaining Cummings, Shaw combined well but Shaquille Master was unable to keep his effort down

The sucker punch came deep into injury time Ganley saved the initial shot from Stone but it bobbled up to Parrott who reacted the quickest to slot into an empty net to give Bedworth three points.

A disappointing start to the new season but we have to regroup as we face a potential tough trip to Corby Town on Wednesday night.
