Debutant Harry Wakefield scored after ten minutes to hand the hosts a perfect start. John King and Reece Morris added further goals in the second half to make certain of Shepshed's win.

Dynamo made a sprightly start to the match. Josh Egginton whipped in a low cross, and a Harborough defender did well to clear it behind for a corner. The hosts would soon find a reward for their enterprising approach.

Morris, owing to sheer diligence, regained possession in the Dynamo half. He then took the ball on himself, and played forward an excellent through ball. Wakefield raced into it, took the ball around the keeper and slotted home to give his new club the advantage in the seventh minute.

Harborough, who were top of the division prior to this match, rallied. Shepshed's Matty White parried an initial effort before Daniel Forbes fired the rebound wide.

This bitty first half was short on quality and chances. The industrious Niall Prenderville elicited a comfortable save from the Harborough 'keeper shortly before half-time.

Shepshed made a rather more sprightly start to the second period, and soon doubled their advantage. Liam Hurst did brilliantly to win the ball back. He then played in King. The dexterous attacking midfielder was one-on-one with the goalkeeper, and he composed himself before slotting the ball into the bottom corner.

Shepshed were now in control of the match, and they began to search for further goals. King and Wakefield produced an excellent piece of combination play before the former dragged a shot wide.

Substitute Luke Moran was next to try his luck after a deflected King cross fell into his path. The Harborough 'keeper did well to hold the shot.

Morris was looking lively and effervescent. He nearly added to Shepshed's lead. He gulled two defenders before bursting forward and firing a shot just over the bar.

He would eventually get his goal. It was the icing on the cake, as it were. A right wing cross. A sublime touch. A cut inside. A deft finish. Three goals, three points, and a fourth win in succession to put Dynamo top of the league. Verily, a good day's work.
