After taking a two goal lead in the second half they squandered their domination of the game and Rocester fought back to take all three points in this Baker Midland Football Alliance encounter.

Shepshed started well and looked to follow on from their midweek victory within three minutes Alun Webb's effort was cleared and a free kick straight afterwards was palmed away by Richard Froggatt from Callum Thompson and a minute later Jonathan Jones's shot was wide.

Rocester's first chance of the half fell to Daniel Brown after the ball was scrambled clear in the Dynamo box his reaction effort went over the bar.

Shepshed continued to dominate the first half Jones was deemed offside a minute after the Romans chance. Shepshed with a majority of the possession didn't have another realistic chance until the 23rd minute when Froggatt saved from Webb, Rocester responded straight away and again Brown was the threat but Ryan Thacker made the save.

Shepshed grew stronger but were unable to break the deadlock before half time in the 29th minute Shaun Martin passed to Jones but Froggatt saved and three minutes later Thompson hit the post and from the rebound Jones was offside, Shepshed hit the woodwork a minute later Sam Cook put Steve Chaplin through but his effort rebounded.

Ten minutes from the end of the half the referee had a big decision to make Jones clear through on goal was brought down on the edge of the box by Carl Allen but a yellow card was shown to the offender a minute later Shepshed's final effort by Jones was saved by Froggatt.

Shepshed took the lead five minutes after the restart Rob Mulonga down the right handside placed an imposing cross into the box which was turned into his own net by Carl Allen. The lead was doubled eight minutes later Connor Bennett on for Martin crossed from the right hand side the ball fell to Webb on the left who beat two defenders and curled passed Froggatt.

A minute later Chaplin should have made it three but his shot went into Froggatt and again a minute later Jones's shot was saved and Thompson's effort from the rebound was blocked.

Shepshed continued to press their advantage on sixty seven minutes Cook's shot went into Froggatt and Cooper - Richards on for Chaplin also shot at Froggatt. Two minutes later Cook again went close and Cooper - Richards fired over the top.

Rocester gained a foothold into the game on seventy four minutes Shepshed half cleared a free kick on the edge of the box but Aaron Dillon was alert and slotted home. Shepshed responded Webb put Jones through but Froggatt was alert to the danger.

As the game entered the final stages The Romans pressed for a vital point Dillon passed to Brown buthe combination of Luke Pritchard and Chris Gray averted the threat minute later and Rocester's substitute Simeon Lawrence fired wide.

Rocester gained their equaliser on eighty two minutes Shepshed again looked like they had cleared any danger but Errol Johnson reacted the quickest and shot passed Thacker into the left hand corner. Again Shepshed responded a minute later Mulonga fed Thompson but the story of the day his shot went into Froggatt and a further minute later a poor clearance from Froggatt was met by Jones but his effort went wide.

With time running out Rocester gained all three points a poor clearance from Shepshed was met by Aaron Cole who fired passed Thacker.

After being two goals clear Shepshed failed to convert further chances to put the game out of sight and allowed Rocester back into the game to gain three vital points in their attempt to move away from the wrong end of the Baker Midland Football Alliance.
