Sunday afternoon saw the Bears hold their fund raising poker tournament. The event was kindly organised by Tony Booth landlord of the Foresters Arms the clubs headquarters on Kirkgate in Sherburn.

The tournament kicked off at 2pm on Sunday afternoon with over 30 players at the tables, by 7pm the last three players were remaining with Joel Booth, Scott Jordan and Adam Withington still surviving.

The final shootout saw Adam finish first with Joel second and Scott third, Adam scooped the £130 prize money as well as a weekend trip away for 2 at a log cabin in the Lake District.

The club would like to thank Tony & Kathleen for organising and hosting the event and also all the players who contributed to a great afternoon and helped raise nearly £400 for the club.
