The Ram's first game of the season got off to a disappointing start when it was cancelled due to Harbury unable to field a team. But that didn't stop me and Mick turning up and sitting outside Harbury's ground with their gates locked at 1:30pm Saturday!!!Must enter the 21st century and embrace twitter, facebook and be able to pick up voice mails when someone leaves one on my mobile!-it could have been worse, like Ledbury away.
Just a quick round up to what did happen in our league Saturday-Ledbury gave Rugby Lions a taste of how tough our league is when they beat them 35-31,which I think is Rugby's first league defeat in 3 season's.Woodrush drew 7-7 at Cheltemham North, while Old Coventrians handed Pershore a 62-0 thrashing.Newly promoted Evesham beat Southam 39-8 and Old Leam's defeated Old Wheat's 32-5.
Early day's I know-but I expect the 2 team's who were relegated last season will force the pace this season just as Dunlop and Bedworth did last season.
So don't forget our beer festival this Friday starting at 4pm and Saturday our first game of the season at home to Ledbury(unless it's called off and nobody tell's me!)
