Away Day blues continue

A weakened Shipston side took to the field against a strong Bedworth team and from the outset there was only going to be one outcome.
Within the first 10 minutes Bedworth had already opened up a 14-0 lead through their powerful pack dominating scrum ball. But on 13 minutes Shipston did venue into Bedworth's half to win a penalty which Rob James converted to reduce the lead to 14-3.
This was all Shipston were going to get out of the first half as Bedworth scored at regular interval's and what little ball Shipston did manage to win was nullified by it all being 'man and ball' possession due to the absence of any offside rule being applied. So at half time Shipston turned round 38-3 down.
Bedworth soon scored after the second half kicked off to lead 45-3 and to make matters worse the visitor's lost captain Matt Corby in the 47th minute who took a knock to the head.
The home team continued the pressure and Shipston defended as best they could,Josh Bird and Tom Corby stood out making tackle after tackle to try and keep Bedworth out.Scrum half Rob James also had to leave the field after taking a bad knock to his knee which didn't help matter's.
But Shipston came back late into the game when they should have score but were denied by a high tackle that went unpunished but soon after the ball was fed to Tom Page who broke several tackles to crash over,Josh Bird converted.
Bedworth had the final say by scoring at the death to make the final score 67-10.
Shipston need to regroup and try and ensure ALL player's are available for ALL games-luckily with no game next week they now have 2 weeks to sort out injures and perhaps take a hard look at what seem's to be going wrong and why there are six or seven changes every game!!?
My Man of the Match goes to Josh Bird, asked to play in different positions nearly every week,Josh once again gave 100%.

NB. John Bird has asked to pass on his thanks to you all after the bucket collection last week at the Upton game.As part of the Movember month the collection raised £91.82 which will go to various male cancer charities ,Thanks again!
