Shirebrook Make It 2 Wins In A Week With Clifton Win
Goals from Josh Turner and Joe Harris saw Shirebrook pick up a 2-1 win away at Clifton All Whites

The game was less than a minute old when Ryan Smith gave Clifton the lead. However after the early setback Shirebrook soon began to create chances of there own with Nathan Jessop almost pulling a goal back for the visitors. The home side soon started to get back on top and started to test Michael Ball in the Shirebrook goal but it was Shirebrook who finished the half the stronger of the teams and they almost went in level when Joe Harris saw his header go just wide of the far post.

Shirebrook started the second half the better of the 2 teams with Jessop and Luke Manlove both having chances to pull Shirebrook level Shirebrook went even closer mid-way through the half when Josh Turner cheeky backheel was just saved by the Clifton keeper.
In the 74th minute Shirebrook were finally level when Joe Harris cross found Josh Turner at the near post and he levelled the scores.
Shirebrook pushed for the winner and it arrived in the 85th minute when the ball was worked out from the back and fell to Joe Harris on the edge of the box and he managed to find enough space to get a shot off that smashed the underside of the bar and bounced down over the line.
Shirebrook managed to see out the final 5 minutes and injury time to claim all 3 points.
Shirebrook are back in action next Saturday when Eastwood CFC visit Langwith Road 3pm ko
