Shirebrook Crash Out Of FA Vase
Shirebrook Town crashed out of this seasons FA Vase after they were beaten 3-0 by Boldmere St Michaels
ATT 84
MOTM Dodds
The visitors play at a step higher than Shirebrook and it soon started to show as they had the better of the opening exchanges of the game and their dominance payed off in the 20th minute when Hendrie gave them the lead after his shot hit a Shirebrook player and looped up into the air and over Ball in the Shirebrook goal.
The closest Shirebrook got to pulling a goal back was a Nathan Jessop effort that went flying over the bar and the visitors finished the half the stronger of the two teams but failed to take the chances that fell their way.
The second half was more of the same with the visitors creating chance after chance with the offside flag coming to Shirebrook rescue a number of times but in the 63rd minute Marsalis got Baldmere 2nd goal of the game. As the game drifted into the last 20 minutes Shirebrook started to make a game of it and attack the Baldmere back 4 but the closest they came was an effort that hit the bar. In injury time Byrne got a 3rd goal for Baldmere with the last kick of the game.
