Ollerton Take Boxing Day Bragging Rights
Shirebrook Town were beaten 4-0 by Ollerton Town
ATT 150
Shirebrook again started the game slow with Ollerton smashing the bar within the first 2 minutes of the game so it came as no surprise when they opened the scoring in the 4th minute when Gav King raced through and pulled it back for James Matthews who made no mistake from close range Ollerton again went close minutes later when King forced a good Save from Ball in the Shirebrook goal the best Shirebrook effort of the half came mid-way through it when a free kick was lofted into the box but the closest Shirebrook got was to hit the side netting and it was the visitors who went in at the break with the advantage.
Again Shirebrook started slow in the second half and again they were punished for it when Ollerton extended their lead in the 48th minute when Partridge cut it back for Lewis Bingham and Ollerton had a 3rd 2 minutes later when James Matthews got his 2nd of the game after his shot took a wicked deflection off 1 of the Shirebrook defenders and flew into the net and Ollerton had a 4th in the 55th minute when Hewitt saw his shot saved by Ball but Gav King was there to follow up the rebound with the game gone Shirebrook did still push froward trying to make a game of it and they did manage to muster up 2 efforts but both didn’t trouble the Ollerton goalkeeper and it was the visitors who left Langwith road with all 3 points.
