Shirebrook were held to a 1-1 draw at home to Borrowash Victoria

Shirebrook started the better of the two teams with the in form Nathan Jessop having the first chance of the game for Shirebrook but the visitors soon started to test Michael Ball in the Shirebrook goal. The visitors early pressure soon payed off in the 14th minute when Connor Roberts gave Borrowash the lead but Shirebrook weren’t behind for long as in the 20th minute Luke Manlove broke down the left and got his shot off and it hit the inside of the post and rolled over the line.
Now that they were back on level terms Shirebrook started to dominate the half with Nathan Jessop hitting the bar with a header and Jacob France, Will Dodds and Grant Mitchell all going close to giving Shirebrook the lead but the sides went in level at the break.
Borrowash came flying out the traps at the start of the second half with them having a number of chances however Shirebrook looked dangerous on the break and Luke Manlove almost doubled his and Shirebrook tally when he broke down the left but he saw his shot go just wide of the far post.
In the final 20 minutes Shirebrook were under a lot of pressure with Michael Ball coming to the rescue a number of times to keep Shirebrook level despite Borrowash throwing everything at Shirebrook they couldn’t find a way through and Shirebrook managed to come away with a point.
Shirebrook are back in action on Tuesday when they visit Radford 7:30 ko and Clipstone are the visitors to Langwith Road next Saturday 3pm ko
